PPGI usually refers to steel products such as PPGI Coil and PPGI Sheet. It is a technically advanced coating on top of galvanised coil to give the product a more colourful and attractive surface, which makes it more versatile.
    Galvanised steel substrates for PPGI are usually produced on continuous galvanising lines (CGL), which may include a coating section after the hot dip galvanising section or, more commonly, metal coated substrates in coil form are treated on a separate continuous coating line (CPL).
    The metal-coated steel is cleaned, pre-treated and coated with various organic coatings which may be paint, vinyl dispersions or laminates. The continuous process used to apply these coatings is often referred to as coil coating.
    The steel produced in this process is pre-painted, pre-polished and can be further processed into finished products or components.
