Type 410 Stainless Steel is a martensitic stainless steel that provides good corrosion resistance plus high strength and hardness. It is magnetic in both the annealed and hardened conditions. A wide range of properties can be developed with different heat treatments.

Stainless steel 410 is a basic martensitic grade which contains 11.5% chromium, offering both exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. SS 410 is corrosion resistant to some chemicals, food, mild acids, water, and air. It also proves adequate resistance to nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, dilute acetic acid and naphtha. Elevated mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are achieved with stainless steel 410 when it's hardened and tempered. 

Grade 410 Stainless Steel Coils are high-carbon steel with 12% chromium offers excellent corrosion resistance when the coils are polished. Like some stainless steel products, these UNS S41000 SS Coils are hardened through the heat treatment process.
